MEETING LOCATION

Anchorage is surrounded by the Alaska Range and Cook Inlet to the west, Denali to the north and the Chugach Range to the south and east.

The Hotel Captain Cook is the host hotel for the OOXX.  Pre-registration / Welcome Mixer and Awards Banquet are the only two functions that will be held at the hotel. All other functions, including Oral Presentations, Poster Presenations and Exhibits will take place at the state-of-the-art Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center on the third floor, in the TIKAHTNU (COOK INLET) BALLROOM and the pre-function Lobby, unless otherwise indicated.  The Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center is located in the heart of downtown Anchorage and is located just 3 blocks from the Hotel Captain Cook. The Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center offers spectacular views of the Chugach Range.

The conference will begin on Sunday evening with a pre-conference registration and refreshments at the Captain Cook Hotel from 1700 to 1900 h. On-site registration will be available at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center beginning at 0900 h on Monday, September 27 and will remain open during conference hours for the remainder of the week beginning at 0730 h daily. The conference will end at 1210 h on Friday, October 1.
