ABSTRACT 1020 | POSTER T-116

PACE FOR INLAND WATER QUALITY MONITORING AKA PACE GETS FRESH

NASA’s PACE (Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem) is an Earth observing satellite with a focus on atmosphere and ocean. However, PACE’s unique instruments and hyperspectral data also allow for new and insightful observations of inland waters. PACE products will provide additional information to water quality managers and researchers interested in inland water systems. The poster will explore a variety of new PACE inland water products that focus on chlorophyll, harmful algal blooms, and other water quality variables. Thus, demonstrating the exciting potential of water quality products from PACE. The development of desired and beneficial PACE inland water quality products is ongoing, therefore feedback from the Ocean Optics community is encouraged.
