Southern Ocean Bio-optics Workshop – Registration Open
To make the most from the PACE mission, this workshop will bring together experts in bio-optics, ocean remote sensing, photophysiology, biogeochemical modeling, and atmospheric processes. Together, through plenary talks and breakout sessions, participants will formulate how to harmonize sampling to better link float and satellite observations, design photophysiology experiments to inform improved model parameterizations, and develop linkages across plankton, aerosols, clouds and ecosystems.

IOCCG Community Survey — Survey of Ocean Colour Instruments & Opportunities across Latin America and the Caribbean
Dear Latin American and the Caribbean Ocean Colour Community,
In an effort to increase communication, collaboration, and validation data coverage on ocean colour across Latin America and the Caribbean, we have prepared a short survey. It seeks to gather information from various groups across the region on their existing optical instrumentation, measurements and funding opportunities, as well as existing collaborations and capacity-building activities related to ocean colour. We aim to detect gaps and plan actions to fill those gaps across the region.
Click here to take the survey.
Please complete the survey as soon as possible. The link for the survey will remain open, although we hope to have most responses before 1 June 2025. Feel free to share this email with your colleagues in the region.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
